As far as possible, attention is paid to sustainability during production. Plastic is deliberately avoided, so for example the feet and the stoppers are made of wood, which is stained black with environmentally friendly dye stain and sealed three coats with the only solvent-free clear varnish based on natural materials to have been awarded a good rating in the Ökotest. The frame as well as the angles are made of recyclable steel. No paint or powder coating is used, instead the frames are burnished and thus get a unique patina and great industrial look. Sealing is also done here with three layers of organic linseed oil varnish, which takes 4-6 weeks to fully cure. The back upholstery straps and the feather cloth used to cover the straps is made of untreated jute. The lacing threads for tying the Nosag wave springs made of hemp fabric. Inside the body, upholstery felt is used from old clothes or even from old jute bags from coffee imports. For a durable product, polyurethane foam is used for padding, but recycled foam scraps are also partially used in the body. The measurements are c. (HxWxD) 70 x 60 x 85 cm.
